&nbsp; &nbsp; 河南省的县名由来久远，自春秋战国至今各代都有产生和演变。市名多由县名而来，是封建帝制灭亡后的近几十年间才兴起的。县市名称的命名与变更，常常受到各个时代人为因素的影响和控制。河南现有127 个县市，从名称产生的先后顺序看：春秋战国4个、秦汉38个、三国至南北朝5个、隋唐五代25个、宋金元12个、明清11个、民国16个、新中国16个。<BR>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
